Birds of Augustine Wildlife Area ~ Ashland Nature Center

Take a trip to the extensive marshlands of southern New Castle County around the Augustine Wildlife Area and Delaware City. During late summer, many species of herons, shorebirds, songbirds, terns, and gulls are on the move, plentiful, and easily seen. Leader Jeffrey Gordon is the past President of the Delaware Ornithological Society and American Birding Association. Jeff will identify birds you encounter and sharing insights into their lifestyle and natural history as you explore. This is a van trip from Ashland Nature Center, and details for preparation will be sent the week of the trip.
