Study tree identification during the dormant season through this Zoom lecture and field trip to Flint Woods Preserve. Become more proficient in identifying oaks, hickories, maples, and other trees by examining fallen leaves, buds, bark and twigs. Flint Woods Preserve is one of the best examples of old-growth forest in the Delaware Piedmont, with rolling hills, and a high biodiversity of plants and animals. This is a two part program beginning with a virtual lecture and then a field trip at Flint Woods Preserve. Further details will be provided closer to the program date. We will be meeting at Flint Woods Preserve for the field trip. Led by Joe Sebastiani and the DelNature Adult Education Team.
