Moth Night at Abbott's Mill ~ Abbott's Mill Nature Center

Stay out after dark to see, photograph, and identify many species of moths attracted to mothing stations at Abbott's Mill Nature Center. A lecture on moths will precede the after-dark moth experience. Document findings in iNaturalist for a biodiversity project. Expect to see a wide variety of moths. . . . large, small, colorful, drab, and each with their own story of what their caterpillar eats and how they live. This is a great way to make connections between insects and the plants they feed on and to gain ideas for moth plantings in your yard.
