Pine Barrens Wetlands and Botany Trip ~ Ashland Nature Center

Experience a guided tour of the NJ Conservation Foundation's Franklin Parker Preserve. This site is one of the most beautiful wetlands in the Pine Barrens, where over 50 rare and endangered species live. This large preserve is in the heart of the NJ Pine Barrens, and contains over 16 square miles of pitch pine forest, blueberry fields, Atlantic white-cedar swamp, shallow lakes, and plenty of flora and fauna. We'll focus the tour on botany, but will also look for birds, reptiles, amphibians, and butterflies. Taste some delicious blueberries from old orchards while we are there! Includes transportation from Ashland Nature Center. Led by Joe Sebastiani and Dave Pro. Van transportation is provided.

Pre-registration is required and ends 24hrs prior to event. Capacity is limited.
