This event celebrates Black History Month by honoring the contributions of Black environmental leaders and the deep connections Black communities have to the land and waterways of Delaware. Through art, storytelling, music, and interactive activities, participants will explore the intersections of Black history, environmental justice, and cultural resilience.
Participants will also enjoy a hands-on winter seed sowing workshop using native wildflowers and edible herbs, creating their own mini greenhouse to take home and grow — “Planting Seeds of Change” as a symbol of community care, environmental stewardship, and nurturing future generations.
