Tuesday August 4

.

9:00 AM  –  11:00 AM

Join us for a guided walk around the pond and along the boardwalk as we explore the ongoing restoration of this unique natural area. Learn about the site's long-term rehabilitation efforts, including phragmites removal, marsh restoration, and native plantings throughout the wetland and surrounding woodlands.

The walk is mostly flat and follows the boardwalk for much of the route, making for a comfortable and accessible outing.

The program will be led by Bob Meadows, who managed the marshes of the Russell W. Peterson Wildlife Refuge for the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Fish and Wildlife. This event is presented in partnership with the Delaware Sierra Club.
