Experience sunset on the longest day of the year looking out over the Russell R. Peterson Urban Wildlife Refuge at this special 60th Anniversary event highlighting and supporting DelNature’s work to ensure clean water. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres along with a birds-eye view of the marshes and the Christina River as it winds through Wilmington. The DuPont Environmental Education Center is the hub for DelNature in Wilmington, where we host school, group and family educational programs and conservation projects aimed at restoring rivers and community green spaces. It also boasts the best views in the city from its fourth floor and boardwalk extending into the wetland. Tour the building and boardwalk with DelNature staff to learn about this unique tidal freshwater ecosystem and new initiatives underway to enhance the indoor and outdoor classrooms that welcome thousands of children and families each year. Your ticket purchase benefits Delaware Nature Society and helps to ensure these programs and projects continue and thrive.
