Learn about spring maintenance and native plant garden planning during this session. This program is for gardeners new to native plant gardening or who would like to increase their knowledge around maintenance strategies. We will focus on the key variables that go into planning and preparation for new gardens and discuss specific strategies for spring maintenance to ensure your garden thrives in spring and summer. There will be a presentation followed by a hands-on session in the Ashland native plant garden. For planning purposes bring the dimensions and pictures of your garden space as well as the growing conditions including sun conditions (full, part, shade), soil moisture (dry, moist, wet) and any other variables you would like to consider in your plan. Plant lists and descriptions along with supplies for sketching your space will be provided. Led by Kerry Wilson.
