Rooted in Community: Craft Together and Zine ~ Coverdale Farm Preserve

Wednesday February 18

6:30 PM  –  8:30 PM

Craving creativity? Tired of crafting alone or zoning out in front of the TV? Connect and mingle with fellow makers, share your skills, and spark new ideas in a fun, welcoming space. Bring a craft project from home- or just bring yourself! Want to bring extra materials to share? Optional but always appreciated. Whether you're a seasoned creator or a curious beginner, there's a spot for you. Craft, chat, and unwind with light refreshments and great company.

Join us for a workshop all about zines and try your hand at collage and compilation. Make use of old materials to highlight a new perspective. A zine (pronounced like "magazine") is a self-published, small circulation, non-commercial booklet. Zines come in all shapes, sizes, topics, and formats, and are personal and idiosyncratic. The best thing about zines is this: there are no rules! Hear about the fascinating history of zines, explore a selection from a local independent zine library, and learn some basic construction techniques for your own unique self-expression.
