Lost Trees of Delaware ~ Ashland Nature Center

Join us on a journey through the history of Delaware’s forests in this two-part program that includes a *lecture and field trip. Discover the trees that once dominated our forests and the conservation efforts to restore these lost trees. Visit The Naked Oak Tree Farm, a local backyard nursery making a big impact on the conservation of American Chestnuts, Red Mulberry, and Butternut trees. Walk through the Middle Run Natural area and imagine what the forest may have looked like throughout history.

Zoom Lecture: October 15th, 6pm - 8pm, an email with the link will be sent out day of.

Field Trip: October 17th, 10am - 2pm Led by Jonathon of The Naked Oak Tree Farm and Erynn DeGennaro, DelNature Director of Education. Van transportation is included.
