Kayak the Christina: Freshwater Wetlands ~ DuPont Environmental Education Center

Explore the wonders of freshwater wetlands on the Christina River! Get a closer look at our sea of green and a unique view of the city skyline. Immerse yourself in the grassy domain of Great Blue Herons, American Beaver, and other marsh creatures, and as you paddle, learn about the ecological function and value of our wetlands. No paddling experience is required. Instruction and equipment provided, so there is no need to bring your own kayak. Participants will carry the kayaks a short distance to the launch site and staff will be available to assist if needed. Bring water, a hat, and sunscreen.

Pre-registration is required and ends 24hrs prior to event. Capacity is limited to 12. Kayaks have a max weight limit of 230 lbs.
